Email services today have powerful filters to keep spam mails away from your inbox. But what about spam that occasionally arrive as text messages on your phone? Apple has introduced a new way to report such spam messages that arrive on your iMessage.
Spotted by the folks at 9To5Mac, the support document lists the process for reporting spam to Apple. All a user needs to do is take a screenshot along with the sender’s email id or phone number and send these details to Apple at imessage.spam@icloud.com.
This method may not be very state-of-art when compared to the spam filters on today’s email services, but with the forthcoming iOS 7 Apple is expected to offer a more advanced blocking system.
