Karbonn today launched four new affordable smartphones – the A35, A90, A99 and A16 – aiming at the Diwali shopping season. All of these Android smartphones come with dual-SIM compatibility and are priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,500.
Specification-wise, the Karbonn Stellar A16 is a 4-inch smartphone with a WVGA display (480×800 pixels). It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be supplemented by up to 32GB using a microSD card. It also has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It also offers standard connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS as well as offers 3G connectivity too. The Karbonn A16 is priced at Rs 6,490.
The Karbonn Star A99 has the same features as the A16 but comes with an IPS display. The phone costs Rs 6,590.
he Karbonn A90 too comes with a 4-inch IPS display like the A99 but varies in terms of other features. It has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on-board, 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory which is pretty low for a device to run smoothly. Besides, it comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and a VGA secondary camera. It does not support 3G network but offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS options for connectivity. The phone is priced at Rs 5,490.
The Karbonn A35 is a 5-inch qHD IPS display, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone also offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and has G-Sensor and proximity sensor. It is available in black-silver and white-silver color combinations and is priced at Rs 7,490.
All the four phones come with pre-loaded apps like Karbonn Live, WhatsApp, an Office Suite, and the Hungama My Play app which offers one month of unlimited access to Hungama content.
