Instagram has updated its iOS app which now enables a new landscape mode and adds Cinema video stabilization for both the front and rear cameras.
Previously, Instagram just would not handle landscape content properly and this was a major flaw in the way the app worked.
Now this problem has been resolved. It was supposed to come on launch day when Instagram launched video but the company faced problems.
The Cinema video stabilization feature has now been enabled for even the front facing camera. While, Instagram sees this particular feature as an differentiating factor, one must point out that the YouTube Capture app also has a similar feature. Currently, the Cinema feature is restricted to iOS hardware, and Android devices don’t have access to it. You can download the app from here.
