Samsung has for the first time surpassed Apple on the basis of web-usage on smartphones across the globe. According to a StatCounter report, the Korean company recorded a substantial increase in growth in web-browsing over its devices in the last year, which has resulted in it being the most used smartphone brand for accessing web services in June this year. Samsung’s internet usage has been recorded at 25.47 percent, which is marginally more than Apple’s 25.09 percent. However, this hints at the increasing market share of Samsung devices over Apple devices.
If the performance graph is to be noticed, Samsung started picking up shares from the beginning of this year. While Apple had been at the peak during the February, its shares started to fall thereafter.
On the other hand, Nokia has constantly been falling on this graph and has come down to third place which indicates the decreasing market for Nokia devices. Market share of Nokia have fallen from 28 percent this time last year to 22 percent. Besides this, Blackberry has also recorded a decline from 5 percent to 3.6 percent.
