Google Earth app for iOS and Android now offers Street View and directions in 3D

In a major update, Google has brought Street View to its Google Earth app for iOS and Android. This apart, the company has launched the new version of the app with an array of other interesting additions including support for directions in 3D, improved search results, and a better interface. Another interesting part is that the updated application will now be available in over 100 countries.
Those familiar with Street View would be delighted to know that the Earth app will now also offer this feature to allow users explore sites at street level right on their mobile devices. This will allow a more realistic, 360 degree view of the surrounding area as seen from the street. Google had recently added Street View mapped for  Burj Kalifa in Dubai.
The new decked up interface of the app will ease browsing and enable users to access information through different layers like Panoramio Photos and Wikipedia by opting to click on the Earth logo on the top left corner. Moreover, the new version comes with improved directions and related features including step-by-step transit, walking and biking directions which will now also be available in 3D.
The app can be downloaded from the Play Store for Android smartphones and the App Store for iOS devices.
