Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 preview reveals 1080p display support for Windows Phone

One the biggest technological disadvantages about Windows Phone 8 is the lack of support for 1080p resolution displays. It was earlier reported that this would be enabled before Windows Phone Blue was revealed to the public. Now, Justin Angel, who was a former Nokia and Microsoft engineer has revealed on Twitter that the preview of Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 has support for 1080p displays on Windows Phone 8. Microsoft Visual Studio is the primary development tool for Windows Phone 8 based applications.
The files found indicate skin support for 1080p displays for Windows Phone 8. Previously, it was reported that support for 1080p displays will be added in Windows Phone General Distribution Release 3 would unlock this feature, though that is yet to happen.
Windows Phone Blue on the other hand is expected to ship in early 2014, which is much after Microsoft ships Windows 8.1. Nokia is also reported to be planning a phablet with a 1080p resolution display.
