BlackBerry today launched the Z30 smartphone in India for Rs 39,990 and it will be available from next week onwards. About a month back, BlackBerry had discreetly unveiled the phone (also known as A10) as its premium offering at an event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The phone runs on the BlackBerry’s latest BB 10.2 OS, which comes with a host of new features.
On the specification front, the phone comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, which is the largest screen on any of the BlackBerry smartphones launched so far. It is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
It is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera and houses a 2,880mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to 25 hours. Moreover, the Antenna technology used in the device will also help enhance the battery life on the phone.
On the software front, the phone runs on the company’s latest BB 10.2 OS, which introduces an array of new features including a new Hub app, known as the BlackBerry Priority Hub. The Priority Hub enables BBM notification on any app, including third party apps.
The company also announced that it will start rolling out BB 10.2 OS update on theQ5 and the Z10 this week via OTA and will release it on the Q10 next week.
