Sony PlayStation 4 launched in India for Rs 39,990, will be available from January 6

 the Japanese company officially launched the console in India at an event in New Delhi. The gaming console carries a price tag of Rs 39,990 and will be available across the country from January 6 onwards.
Talking of hardware, the PS4 is powered by an eight-core AMD Jaguar/Kabini x86-64 CPU supplemented by a Radeon 7870-derived GPU and 8GB of RAM. Other features include 500GB of hard drive space and connectivity options like Wi-Fi, HDMI out, Aux, Gigabit Ethernet socket, an S/PDIF optical audio out, and two USB connectors.
The DualShock controller weighs in at 210 grams and includes a two-point touchpad, six-axis Move motion sensor, a light bar and a Share button that allows players to post gameplay footage and screenshots online. Sony is offering the Camera for Rs 4,999 and an additional controller will set you back by Rs 4,999.

Apart from the hardware, a console would be incomplete without its games and here’s a list of the complete lineup of titles arriving on the PS4. Sony has launched Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall today, which cost Rs 3,999. Eight third-party games will be launched on January 6 and they will be priced between Rs 2,499 and Rs 4,499.
Since its launch in the US last month, Sony’s gaming console has been creating quite a buzz on the Internet. The console couldn’t have asked for a better start, with the company selling a million units on day one and two million in under two weeks.
Sony is well on its way to achieving its target of selling 3 million PS4 consoles by the end of the year and 5 million by the end of the fiscal year. Sony’s console is also dominating the social media, with a report claiming that it is generating as much as 40 percent more online buzz than its rival Xbox One and the comments are three times as positive, a new report revealed.
