Samsung has reportedly sold 40 million units of its Galaxy S4 smartphone in just six months since its launch in April this year. Samsung had announced it had sold 6 million units in two weeks after launching the smartphone and 10 million units in less than a month after launch. In January, prior to the launch of the Galaxy S4, Samsung had announced selling over 100 million of its Galaxy S smartphones. Spotted by Sammobile, Samsung’s JK Shin told Korea’s InNews24 about the latest Galaxy S4 milestone.
While Galaxy S4 sales have been better than those of the Galaxy S III, it seems that sales have slowed down. While it took the Galaxy S III 50 days to cross the 10 million mark, it did the 40 million milestone in seven months, just a month more than the Galaxy S4. Sales of the Galaxy S III still continue to be robust as Samsung has slashed the prices considerably as the device inches closer to its end of life.
