Google Nexus 4 starts getting Android 4.4 KitKat update in India

Google has finally released the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Nexus 4 users in India, a few days after it hadupdated the Nexus 7 (2012 edition and 2013 edition) and Nexus 10 models to the latest Android version. This is an OTA update, which can be triggered from the ‘About Phone’ option in the settings menu. If you are unable to get it, we suggest you wait for a bit longer as Google is rolling it out in phases.
Google was expected to bring Android’s KitKat flavor to both of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 3G variant, however there is no information if the update is available for the latter as well.
This update will bring a number of new as well as improved features including an improved Google Now interface, message integration with Hangouts, and better device data backup.
