A few months after its launch on iOS, the digital music service Saavn has finally introduced its premium subscription service – Saavn Pro for Android as well. The Pro app is basically an advanced version of the app and offers commercial-free streaming which and works efficiently offline as well. The service is available for Rs 220 per month.
The main advantage of this version of the app is that subscribers to the app can listen to music without being interrupted by advertisements, as the app comes ad-free. Also, it is readily available for all the users who can even use the app in no network or low network areas by using the app on the offline mode. Moreover, a user can opt to use Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection to cache music for offline listening and can access it on multiple devices, up to 5 devices per account. Another point to notice is that it will soon add access to high quality music at 320kbps speed.
In terms of music, the Pro service offers a huge collection of Indian music and as per the company’s claims it has approximately 1.1 million tracks available for users. The app is available for a 30-day free trial but after that users will need to shell out Rs 220 per month. The Saavn Pro app for Android can be downloaded from the Play Store.
In addition to Saavn Pro, Saavn has also launched another new premium subscription service called Saavn Pro Lite. This is basically a cheaper alternative of Saavn Pro, and is available only to Indian users. The subscriber to this service can cache up to 1 GB of music on a single device for Rs 110 per month.
