Samsung Galaxy S4 mini launched in India for Rs 27,990

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S4 mini in India for Rs 27,990. The phone was originally announced earlier this year alongside the Galaxy S4 Active, and the Galaxy S4 zoom and now the phone landed on Indian shores. Samsung is billing it as a smaller alternative to the Galaxy S4.
The Galaxy S4 mini may look like the S4, but in terms of specs it is an inferior smartphone. It has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED panel with a qHD resolution, a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and has 8GB of internal memory.
On the back it has a 8-megapixel camera and also has a front facing camera. It has a rather large 1,900 mAh battery and weighs an incredible 107 grams which rivals the iPhone 5.
As far as the software is concerned, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which has Samsung’s TouchWiz layer and includes apps like S Health, S Translator, Sound and Shot, Panorama Shot, and Story Album.
Weirdly, in terms of specs this phone is even inferior to the Galaxy S III and yet, Samsung has made it more expensive than the former.
