After announcing the Spice Stellar Virtuso Pro with Spice Cloud recently, the company today has launched a new smartphone named the Pinnacle FHD. The Android phone features a full HD display and a number of other features and has been launched for Rs 16,990.
As the name suggest, the Spice Pinnacle FHD flaunts a 5-inch full HD display offering 1080p resolution, which is an amazing offering in this price range. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Apart from this, it offers 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through a microSD card.
This is a dual-SIM smartphone with both the SIMs supporting 3G network and additionally also offers free cloud backup of 2GB of data over Spice Cloud. This will allow accessing contacts across the devices along with mobile security and anti-theft features.
The phone sports an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera along with dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The rear camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p at 30fps. Other features in the phone include a 2100mAh battery, wireless connectivity through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS/AGPS, and sensors like Proximity sensor, G-sensor, and Light sensor.
The Spice Pinnacle FHD is available for pre-booking from here. The company has said the phone will be available at retail stores as well as will be delivered to pre-bookers from July 20.
At this price point, the phone will compete against the recently announced Micromax Canvas 4 A210 which costs Rs 17,999 and the Xolo Play, which will feature Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and is priced for Rs 15,999, among others.
