There’s a new dating app in town, and it promises to be different than the run-of-the-mill apps or services available today. Taking on the likes of Tinder and Bang with Friends (BWF), Twine focuses on having meaningful conversations with someone rather than just liking one’s profile photo.
Twine follows the mantra, “Flirt first, reveal later” and much like other dating apps gives you suggestions based on your location and interests. But from there on things are a little different. When you strike up a conversation with someone you won’t be able to look at his/her face as the photo will be blurred. Twine also includes a new feature called Intelligent Conversation Enhancer (I.C.E), which suggests questions based on common interests to keep the conversation flowing. Only when both are comfortable enough with each other, will they be able to reveal their photos using an aptly named button—‘Reveal Me’.
Twine also ensures that there aren’t a lot of people flooding the app and strives to keep the ratio of males and females at 1:1 using a queue feature. The app also limits the number of requests and messages you get in a day so you won’t be flooded with notifications when you go to the app.Twine follows the mantra, “Flirt first, reveal later” and much like other dating apps gives you suggestions based on your location and interests.
