LG Chromebase: World’s first all-in-one computer running on Chrome OS announced

Google’s minimal Chrome OS is seen working on laptops, and now it has finally made it to the desktop PCs. LG has taken the wraps off the Chromebase, the world’s first all-in-one computer to run on Chrome OS. LG will officially launch the PC at CES 2014.
Talking of hardware, the Chromebase flaunts a 21.5-inch full HD IPS (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by an Intel Celeron CPU, paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include 16GB of internal storage, 1.3-megapixel webcam that supports 720p video recording, built-in 5W speakers and connectivity options like HDMI in, USB 2.0 ports, USB 3.0 ports and LAN port.
LG has also revealed that in addition to individuals, it is targeting schools, hotels, call centers and other businesses, where hassle-free computing is the requirement. One of the main selling points of Chrome OS is that you can log into any Chrome OS computer and have your content waiting for you, because it’s all stored in the cloud.
