Sony PlayStation 4 to launch in India on December 18

The next-generation in gaming is finally arriving in India. Moments ago Sony sent us a media invite to the launch event next week on December 18 in New Delhi.
Since its launch in the US last month, Sony’s gaming console has been creating quite a buzz on the Internet. The console couldn’t have asked for a better start, with the company selling a million units on day one and two million in under two weeks. Microsoft’s Xbox One too is doing well, but not quite on the same level as the PS4.
Sony is well on its way to achieving its target of selling 3 million PS4 consoles by the end of the year and 5 million by the end of the fiscal year. Analysts have also predicted that in the next five years Sony is likely to sell 49 million consoles, while Microsoft’s Xbox One is likely to only reach 38 million. Sony’s console is also dominating the social media, with a report claiming that it is generating as much as 40 percent more online buzz than its rival Xbox One and the comments are three times as positive, a new report revealed.

While you wait for December 18 to arrive, you can read our review of the PlayStation 4 and also a comparison review with the Xbox One.
