Back in April, Yahoo launched a new weather app for iPhones and today it has released the same app for the iPads. You can download it from the App Store.
When the app was first launched, it was appreciated for its beauty with the simple animations and the background images. The image-centric weather app shows what the weather actually looks like in that part of the globe using real images sourced from Flickr. These images have been shared by users as part of the Project Weather Group.
The iPad version of the app is very similar to the iPhone version and apart from the weather; it also provides a detailed forecast, including hourly and daily predictions, details, wind speed, precipitation and maps. Yahoo has also added a new sharing feature, which allows users to send the current weather information to their friends via text, email, Twitter or Facebook.
