Vine app for Android now allows launching camera from homescreen

Vine has introduced a major update to its Android app to simplify the use of Vine features. This new version of app includes a new capture widget along with features that were recently being launched on Vine’s iOS app to compete against it’s arch rival Instagram. This update comes a day after Instagram introduced a new embed code feature for users.
This new version of the app brings the re-vining feature which will allow users to repost video posts to share them with other followers on Vine. The interesting part of the update is the new capture widget which will navigate the users directly from homescreen to the Vine camera. This will simplify the activation of the Vine camera and will allow recording right from the home screen.
Other than this, the update includes new camera tools and content channels, which landed on iOS app last week. The camera tools included new grid, focus, and ghost tools for a better shooting experience, while there also are 15 new channels added for users to browse or submit posts on these channels. Vine has also added a new mute button in the menu and has brought some performance-based improvements along with this update.
