Nokia to launch six new devices including two Lumias at its October 22 event: Report

Yesterday, Nokia sent out invites for its Innovation Reinvented event to be held at Abu Dhabi next month on October 22. It was expected that Nokia would announce the ‘Sirius’ Windows RT tablet called Lumia 2520, the Lumia 1520 ‘Bandit’ phablet and anew Asha phone at the event. But a report on The Verge now claims that the Finnish company could actually announce as many as six new devices including the above three.

Though there’s no specific information on what these other three devices are likely to be, but according to the report Nokia is likely to announce two new Lumias. Along with the new devices, Nokia will also launch a range of accessories for its devices, with one of them being described as, “pretty special.”

A small recap of what’s likely to launch at the event, in addition to the tablet, which has been codenamed ‘Sirius’ and expected to launch as the Lumia 2520, Nokia will launch a phablet, which was reported to be running on Windows Phone 8 GDR3 release. The phablet will supposedly have a 20-megapixel PureView camera and a 1080p display, but size of the screen is still not clear. Earlier reports claimed that it will have a 6-inch panel, but more recent reports suggest a 5-inch screen.
