Xolo Play Tab 7.0 with Nvida Tegra 3 launched for Rs 12,999

Xolo today launched its first Android tablet on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chipset, the Play Tab 7.0, which is now available in India for Rs 12,999. This should not be confused with the recently announced Xolo Tegra Note tablet, which runs on Tegra 4, comes with a stylus and where updates will come directly from Nvidia to ensure it gets Android OS updates regularly. It is also expected to be launched this month.

The Xolo Play Tab 7.0 is very similar to the Xolo Play T1000 smartphone, which was launched in July. Talking about the specs, we are looking at a 7-inch 1,280×800 pixel IPS display, 8GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot and a 4,000mAh battery. It runs on Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor with 1GB of RAM. The tablet runs on Android 4.1. On the connectivity front, there is no cellular connectivity but one does get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4,0.
